Sumit Sahdev

Sumit Sahdev is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in various roles and industries. Sumit is the Co-Founder & CEO of Jombone since 2019. Prior to that, Sumit worked as the G20 YEA Delegate - Canada at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada starting from 2020.

Sumit spent a significant portion of their career at Deloitte, where they served as the Lead - Digital Consumer from 2016 to 2019. In this role, they led Deloitte's Digital Consumer practice and gained extensive expertise in sales & marketing, strategic planning, business consulting, project management, system implementation, vendor management, talent recruitment, and business development. Sumit worked closely with large North-American organizations to develop and implement customer strategies, sales effectiveness, and customer relationship management.

Before joining Deloitte, Sumit worked at Newgen Software as a Senior Product Manager (Americas) from 2011 to 2016. Here, they focused on implementing enterprise Digital Transformation strategies, advising customers on key business drivers, analyzing productivity, anticipating market trends, building relationships, and collaborating with the sales team.

Earlier in their career, Sumit held the position of Product Owner at iTrust Financial Advisors Pvt Ltd. from 2009 to 2011. Sumit was responsible for product consultation activities, requirement gathering, and spearheading the product design of the federal income tax process solution.

Sumit started their professional journey as an Associate Technology at Cognizant from 2006 to 2009. In this role, they played a key role in requirement gathering, solution anchoring, process mapping, and business process analysis for the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

Sumit Sahdev has an extensive education history. In 2002, they graduated from Punjab Technical University with a Bachelor's of Technology (Honors) in Electronics and Communications Engineering. In 2016, they pursued a Master's Degree in Master of Information from the University of Toronto. Currently, Sumit is attending Harvard University and will be completing a Master's degree in Finance in 2022.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sumit has also obtained several certifications. Sumit is an AWS Business Professional (Digital) certified by Amazon Web Services and also holds certifications as a Certified Business Process Management Practitioner and a Certified Enterprise Content Management Practitioner v3, both from AIIM International.
