Tom Ritchie is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice at JONES DAY®, where they represent technology companies in complex intellectual property matters, focusing on high-technology patent and copyright litigation. They have extensive experience with a range of technologies, including software, semiconductors, and wireless communications, and have handled cases involving standard-essential patents (SEP) and FRAND licensing. Prior to joining JONES DAY® in 2010, Tom held engineering leadership roles at Novarra, WMS Gaming, and Motorola. Tom is also involved in pro bono work through the Laredo Project, assisting female victims of violence seeking asylum in the U.S., and is a member of several professional organizations. Currently, Tom is pursuing legal education at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
