Éric Trottier

Éric Trottier is the current General Manager at Journal Le Soleil. Éric has held this position since January 2021. Prior to that, they were the Vice-President of Information and Assistant Editor at La Presse for 11 years. Under their leadership, the newsroom underwent a successful digital transformation that positioned La Presse as one of the most innovative and forward-thinking news organizations in Canada. Éric is credited with driving increased quality and quantity of content across all of La Presse's platforms, including La Presse+, www.lapresse.ca, and La Presse Mobile. Éric also played a key role in helping the company achieve profitability by the end of 2020. Prior to their work at La Presse, Éric spent a year in semi-sabbatical where they travelled and explored different work opportunities. Éric has always been passionate about their work and is looking forward to continuing their career in the field of journalism.

Éric Trottier completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal.
