Journal UMinho Science (JUS) is an open-access peer-reviewed scientific journal (ISSN 2975-951X) founded within and supported by the School of Sciences of the University of Minho (UM), and run exclusively by students and graduates from UM and other Portuguese universities.

We bring together contributors from various scientific fields, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across diverse scientific areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, medicine, and others.

Our goal is to promote and disseminate scientific research produced by UM students and professors, as well as external researchers from various scientific fields. At the same time, we aim to encourage editorial activity within UM, creating a scientific community at this university and integrating students into current publishing practices.

Our two main missions are to:
- Serve the scientific community through the publication of significant advances across most areas of science;
- Provide a forum for the dissemination and discussion of news and science-related issues.

We invite researchers, students, and academics who are passionate about science to share their work with us in an accessible, supportive, and stress-free environment.
