Michael Barnes

Michael Barnes has worked in the software engineering industry since 2012. In that year, they joined New Ocean Solutions as a Junior Software Developer, where they gained experience in object-oriented programming, database design, application development, and dev ops. In 2014, they joined Blazingchilli Limited as a Mobile Integrations Developer, where they integrated external customer systems and services with their mobile application framework, and later developed data warehousing systems to produce reports and provide analysis of customer data. In 2017, they joined JourneyApps as a Senior Sales Engineer and Solutions Engineer, where they were responsible for the design, development, and support for multiple cross-platform applications for a number of international industrial companies and financial institutions. As a Solutions Engineer, they traveled to Australia, Sweden, and the US to conduct user training and meetings with customers. Michael was later promoted to Director of Sales Engineering, where they oversaw JourneyApps sales engineering operations, scoped, designed, and rapidly built proof-of-concept applications that could be converted to pilot programs for new and existing clients.

Michael Barnes attended Harriston School from 2003 to 2007.
