Sean Ferons

Sean Ferons has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Sean started their career as an Instructor at Ology from September 2006 to May 2009. From there, they worked as a Part-time Analyst at Houck Actuarial Services from July 2009 to December 2011, and then as a Financial Analyst at Bear River Mutual from August 2009 to August 2012.

In 2012, Sean became a Student at Brigham Young University, where they studied until February 2014. Sean then joined Imagine Learning as a Game Designer from February 2014 to February 2017, where they helped lead a team in the gamification of a K-6 language and literacy software program. During their time at Imagine Learning, Sean also worked as a Software Engineer and played roles such as Scrum Master and Lead Engineer.

After leaving Imagine Learning, Sean joined Ancestry as a Software Engineer from February 2017 to November 2017. Sean then joined Digital Hue Studios as a Partner from August 2016 until August 2018. Currently, Sean is serving as the Executive Director of Engineering at Alegra Learning, a position they have held since November 2017.

Throughout their career, Sean has gained expertise in game design, software engineering, and leadership roles. Sean has experience with Unity 3D game engine, architected systems for 3D game creation, utilized dependency injection and unit testing, and has trained teams on various tools and techniques.

From 2005 to 2009, Sean Ferons pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Actuarial Science from Brigham Young University.
