James Mountford

James Mountford is a Senior Advisor at Douglas Knowledge Partners and Editor-in-Chief of BMJLeader, bringing three decades of experience in healthcare and education. Previously, they held significant leadership roles in the English NHS, including Director of National Improvement Strategy at NHS England. James has also worked as a Health Strategy Officer for Galileo Global Education and has extensive consulting experience with McKinsey & Company. They hold a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from the University of Oxford. Additionally, James has engaged in humanitarian efforts, volunteering with Solidarité Ukraine to support individuals affected by war.
