Manish Rathi

Manish Rathi is the CEO of JoyRun, a social jogging app. Manish was previously the co-founder and VP of Growth at Retrevo Inc., where they led the product and marketing teams.

Rathi has extensive experience in product management and marketing. Manish was responsible for Retrevo's mobile strategy, and led the team that extended the Product Graph with the 'People' feature by building an 'Interest Graph' from Twitter data. Manish also implemented contextual analysis and classification algorithms for Retrevo's Vertical Search Engine, and defined relevance metrics and measurements for ranking algorithms.

In marketing, Rathi grew Retrevo.com from 0 to 5M monthly users with no customer acquisition costs, and established Retrevo as an industry leader with the TIME “Best Website of the Year” award for 2011. Manish also designed and implemented a self-adjusting software architecture to establish SEO as a large and steady channel for Retrevo, and created a re-marketing program spanning hundreds of millions of sends a year. In addition, they launched multiple products and partnerships with Tier-1 Press coverage.

Manish Rathi completed their B.E. (Hons) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Manish then went on to complete their MS in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
