Daryl Mintz

As Sesame Workshop’s Chief Financial Officer, Daryl Mintz is responsible for ensuring that the Workshop’s resources are properly allocated to achieve the long-term strategic goals of the organization.

Daryl oversees all of the Workshop’s financial functions including financial planning, accounting, reporting, treasury, and cash management and is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the financial health of Sesame Workshop’s business activities in the United States and around the world. He is also responsible for ensuring that the Workshop’s financial assets are deployed to support current operations while being available to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization.

Daryl also oversees the Workshop’s Technology and Engineering and Facilities functions. He serves as the treasurer of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center for Educational Media and Research, a subsidiary of Sesame Workshop, and is a director of Sesame Workshop India Initiatives, the Workshop’s wholly owned subsidiary in India.

From 2005 to 2010, Daryl served as the Workshop’s vice president, controller. He joined Sesame Workshop in 1999 as its AVP, assistant controller, overseeing the Workshop’s accounting and reporting functions.

Prior to joining the Workshop, Daryl worked in the Accounting, Reporting, and Financial Planning departments for Asarco, Inc. He began his career in public accounting at Wiss & Company in Livingston, N.J. Mr. Mintz has a bachelor of science in accounting from Rutgers University.
