Gemma Bateson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales and corporate affairs, primarily within the tobacco and confectionery industries. Currently serving as Head Of Sales UK at JTI (Japan Tobacco International) since October 2016, Gemma has also held the titles of Reduced Risk Products Director and Corporate Affairs and Communications Director WWDF. Prior to this, Gemma was General Manager and Director for Worldwide Duty Free in the Middle East, Africa, UK, and Ireland at JTI from January 2010 to August 2016, managing sales, marketing, and finance teams with full P&L responsibility. Additional roles include International Key Account Manager at JTI and National Sales Manager for Kraft Foods in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on travel retail. Earlier career development included a progression at British American Tobacco, where Gemma gained varied experience in sales, category management, and marketing. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Economics from Oxford Brookes University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & International Business from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de La Rochelle.
