Mehmet Ates

Mehmet Ates is the Corporate Affairs Director at Japan Tobacco International, a position held since 2012. They previously served as the Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications at Novartis from 2009 to 2012, and held various roles in corporate affairs at Philip Morris Turkey from 2003 to 2009. Mehmet began their career as a Customs Expert at the Turkish Customs Administration from 1996 to 2000. They earned a degree in Political Science and Economics from Ankara University between 1990 and 1994.
