Ying Qin

Ying Qin is an experienced multi-jurisdictional IP professional currently serving as an IP Patent Manager at JTI (Japan Tobacco International). Previously, Ying worked as a Patent Engineer at Foton Motor, providing legal advice on IP risk management, and served as an EE/Computer Patent Specialist at SHUSAKU·YAMAMOTO, where they handled patent prosecution in Japan and abroad. Ying's early career includes a role as a Research Trainee at Philips, where they independently completed significant projects in Digital Signal Processing and Machine Learning. Ying holds a Master’s degree in Music Technology from McGill University, a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, and a Bachelor’s in Information Engineering from Zhejiang University.
