Rick Chyme has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2003, they worked as an Executive Assistant and Executive Intern at Island Def Jam Music Group. The following year, in 2004, they served as an Assistant Music Supervisor for Jay-Z's film "Fade to Black" under Radical Media/Take A Chance Ent. In 2017, Chyme became a Programmer for Mind Of Chyme Radio at 88.1FM WYCE, where they hosted a weekly show dedicated to sharing Hip Hop and Soul music. Rick continued this role in 2019 when they joined KZAX 94.9LPFM as a Programmer for Mind Of Chyme Radio.

Chyme's experience in radio expanded in 2020 when they took on the role of Podcast Producer for "Next Possession with Steve Hawkins," an audio podcast that features interviews with notable figures in basketball and entertainment. Additionally, in the same year, Chyme joined Make Shift as a Workshop Coordinator, where they facilitated workshops for individuals of all ages.

In 2021, Chyme diversified their career by becoming a Hip Hop Lyricism and Artist Development Instructor at TakeLessons/Lessonface, offering tailored lessons to students focused on their individual goals and aspirations. Rick also joined Juke as an Artist & Venue Consultant, working on the development of a music technology platform that enables artists to accept song requests and enhance the concert experience for both in-person and virtual audiences. Overall, Chyme's work experience showcases their passion for music, technology, and facilitating meaningful connections between artists and their audiences.

Rick Chyme completed their secondary education at Rockford High School from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a diploma in General Studies. Continuing their academic journey, they attended Western Michigan University from 1998 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education/Communication.
