Lucas Baker

Lucas Baker is an accomplished quantitative researcher and software engineer with extensive experience in financial technology and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Quantitative Research Lead at Jump Trading Group, Lucas applies LLMs and transformer-based architectures to generate insights from unstructured data. Previous roles include positions at The D. E. Shaw Group as an Associate, where work focused on macro finance and thematic research, and at Farallon Capital Management as an MBA summer Analyst specializing in the energy sector. Notably, Lucas was a core team member at Google DeepMind, contributing to the development of AlphaGo and enhancing the Knowledge Graph.
