Derek Johnson has a extensive work experience spanning over 25 years. Derek started their career as a Senior Analyst at TeleCheck, where they managed merchant accounts and developed risk products. Derek then transitioned to Rackspace Technology as a Senior Product Manager for DBA Services, owning the product's strategy, sales enablement, and business operations. Derek eventually became the Group Product Manager for Database Management, leading the product strategy and management of Rackspace Data Services' portfolio.
Currently, Derek is working at JumpCloud as a Principal Product Manager for Data Services. Derek is responsible for building a cloud-delivered platform that enables users to connect to any resource securely. As a product-led growth organization, JumpCloud is experiencing rapid expansion under Derek's leadership.
Derek Johnson pursued their undergraduate studies from 1989 to 1992 at Texas A&M University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Their academic journey continued at the same university from 1993 to 1994, during which they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration.
