Matěj Prokop

Principal Engineer Site Reliability at JumpCloud

Matěj Prokop has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Matěj started their career at Kerio Technologies in 2011 as a Software Engineer, primarily working with C++ and later Java. In this role, they worked on projects related to extending the functionality of TNEF decoder and mail inbox. Matěj then became the Data Team Leader at Kerio Technologies, where they led a team of three people and was responsible for collecting and analyzing usage data for the cloud product Samepage.

In 2015, Prokop joined Samepage as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on developing their cloud-based service. Matěj worked on various projects and adopted a culture where developers were involved in testing, deployment, and maintenance.

In 2017, Prokop moved to OneLogin as a Senior Engineer, where they rebuilt the end-user interface using React and developed a micro-service in Node. Matěj then became a member of the OneLogin Platform team, driving the dockerization process and providing tools and support for engineers to focus on core business logic.

Prokop continued their contributions at OneLogin, eventually becoming a Principal Engineer in Site Reliability and leading efforts to improve the reliability of the cloud-based service.

In 2022, Prokop joined JumpCloud as a Principal Engineer in Site Reliability.

Throughout their career, Prokop has showcased strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a focus on improving reliability and scalability in cloud-based services.

Matěj Prokop obtained a Master's degree in Software Engineering from the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen. Matěj attended the university from 2006 to 2011.
