Hugo Marinho has over 12 years of experience in the software engineering and security field. Hugo began their career in 2009 as a Senior Software and Security Consultant providing consulting services in Microsoft SharePoint and Software Security for national and international companies. In 2012, they took on a Senior Software Consultant role at Ballard Chalmers Ltd. Hugo then moved to CPS as a Technical Leader and Software Architect. After that, they were a Senior Security Architect at Betfair from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they took on a Senior Security Architect role at TJX Europe. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Lead Security Architect at Camelot. In 2019, they became a Lead Application Security Architect at SITA, where they led the DevSecOps framework design and implementation, integrated security in all SITA development pipelines, and supported Product Development functions within SITA to implement and comply with corporate security requirements, laws, regulations and best practice. In 2020, they were a Lead Application Security Engineer at Hudl. Finally, in 2021 they began working as a Principal Security Engineer at Juni.

Hugo Marinho obtained a Technical Degree in Computer Engineering from ISTEC – Instituto Superior de Tecnologias Avançadas between 2001 and 2003. In 2004, they completed a Web Sites Developer course from Fórum Projecto, specializing in web sites development using ASP and ASP.net. In 2008, they completed an Associate and Professional Developer course from Outsystems, specializing in Outsytems development with Agile Methodologies. In 2010, they obtained a CEH certification from EC-Council, specializing in Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures. Additionally, Hugo Marinho has obtained several certifications, including SABSA Chartered Security Architect - (SCF) in 2015, MCITP - Microsoft SharePoint Administrator 2010 in 2013, MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional in 2012, MCTS - Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuring in 2012, and CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker in 2010.
