Senior Manager, Climate Data Science R&d | Principal Data Scientist at Jupiter Intelligence

Alexis Hoffman has extensive work experience in the field of data science and research. From 2018 to the present, they have worked at Jupiter Intelligence, initially as a Data Scientist and then progressing to the roles of Senior Data Scientist and currently as the Principal Data Scientist & Manager of the Data Science Team. Prior to this, Alexis worked at Penn State University from 2011 to 2018, where they served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Meteorology. During this time, they conducted extensive research on climate-crop interactions and the global dust cycle, utilizing machine learning tools and climate models. Alexis also contributed to the field through research publications and presentations. In 2016, they briefly worked at The Aerospace Corporation as a Member of Technical Staff - Graduate Intern. Overall, Alexis has a diverse background in data science, research, and teaching.

Alexis Hoffman has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Meteorology from Penn State University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Meteorology also at Penn State University from 2011 to 2013. Alexis began their educational journey at Washington University in St. Louis, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from 2007 to 2011.
