Colin White has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Colin started their career as a Producer/Engineer for the podcast No One's Listening, where they edited and produced the weekly podcast and served as a sound recordist for video blogs. Colin then worked as a Producer for Ben Manilla Productions, where they were responsible for programming shows, editing audio, conducting interviews, and managing relationships with record labels and affiliates.
Colin then transitioned into the technology industry, working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Sun Microsystems/Oracle, where they designed and implemented tests for webpage updates and created assets to document Sun's online marketing presence. Colin later joined Cisco as a Quality Assurance Engineer, specializing in the Cisco Media Solutions Group.
In 2011, Colin joined JustAnswer and embarked on a long and progressive journey within the company. Colin first worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where they played a key role in establishing and implementing agile development processes for the DSL team. Colin then took on the role of Lead QA Engineer/Scrum Master, assisting the product owner and improving team processes. Colin eventually became the Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for managing both local and remote QA teams, providing strategic direction, and fostering collaboration between QA and development groups. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Manager, and most recently, they serve as the Director of Quality Assurance at JustAnswer.
Colin White received their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued their Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from San Francisco State University, where they studied between 2005 and 2008.
