Steve Schaefer

Steve Schaefer is the Executive Director of Major Gifts at Johnson & Wales University, where they have served since 2020. With 20 years of experience in institutional advancement, Steve has held various roles including Senior Leadership Gifts Officer at Babson College and Associate Vice President for Major Gifts at Emerson College. Previously, they worked as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Joslin Diabetes Center and held communications positions at Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. and United Press International. Steve is currently pursuing an M.S. in Natural Resource Management and Policy from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, complementing a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
