Danny Fields

Danny Fields is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in engineering and software development. Currently serving as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Avalara since May 2018, Danny also holds a position as a Board Member at K1X, Inc. since December 2024. Past roles include Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Software Development Officer at MobileIron, which was acquired by Ivanti, and Group Vice President of Engineering at Oracle Service Cloud. Danny has a history with RightNow Technologies, where the position of Vice President of Engineering was held before the company's acquisition by Oracle, and has extensive experience at Oracle in various engineering leadership roles from 1990 to 2007. Danny holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University, earned between 1986 and 1990.
