Dr. Manu Kumar has a long history of work experience in the technology industry. In 2008, they founded and served as Chief Firestarter at K9 Ventures, a venture fund that provides funding and support for concept-stage and seed-stage technology companies. In 2012, they became Co-founder, Investor, and Board Observer at Carta. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Investor and Board Member at Forethought, Workona, Avoma, and Compound Eye. Additionally, in 2018 they Co-Founded and served as CEO of HiHello, Inc. and in 2019 they became an Investor and Board Member at Divebell and Daughters of Rosie. Finally, in 2019 they became an Investor and Board Member at Invisible AI.

Dr. Manu Kumar has an extensive education history. Dr. Manu attended Modern School from an unknown start year until 1992. Dr. Manu then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1992 to 1995, earning a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Manu continued their studies at Carnegie Mellon University from 1995 to 1997, earning an MS in Software Engineering (Business concentration). Dr. Manu then moved to Stanford University, where they earned a Masters in Computer Science from 2002 to 2005, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from 2002 to 2007.
