Established in 1987, KA-BA Architecture is a leading architectural practice with a diverse portfolio of more than 200 projects on ‘cultural heritage’, ‘new buildings’, and ‘urban environments’. KA-BA’s ethos is ‘conservation of old values and creation of new values’; its projects adopt the principles of ‘authenticity’, ‘integrity’, ‘continuity’ and ‘diversity’. Whether the projects entail urban environments containing natural and cultural values, historic buildings to be restored or new buildings, the cohabitation and development of the traditional and modern are sought. The projects are developed within the framework of properly identifying values and features, problems and potentials; increasing aesthetic and technical qualities; concise and modest design, maximization of ecological solutions, and protecting the project author’s rights following professional ethics.
