Kaab was born in 2023 from a deeply personal story: when our founder’s father was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia (FTD) while living in the U.S. Senior Living options for his family proved unaffordable and impersonal in the U.S., while in Mexico the few alternatives lacked dignity, professional care, and community. Recognizing this gap, Kaab set out to reimagine senior living in Mexico, a neglected yet high-potential market, to offer better solutions for millions of elders and their families. Today, the company is led by a team with over 60 years of combined experience in finance, senior living, and real estate, uniting institutional rigor, operational expertise, and a genuine commitment to transforming aging in Mexico.

Kaab's vision is that families in Mexico will increasingly embrace senior living, moving past the stigma of abandonment tied to asilos (nursing homes). Demographics make this a necessity, not a luxury. Meanwhile, saturated and costly U.S. options will drive many seniors to retire in Mexico at a fraction of the cost and with a superior experience. Our two-pronged approach is based on domestic-driven demand and the growing potential from expat retirees, particularly from the U.S. and Canada, who are attracted by affordability, proximity, and Mexico’s strong caregiving culture.
