Lead Character Artist On Marvel Contest Of Champions at Kabam

Jared Fry has over 20 years of work experience in the field of art and design. Jared is currently working as the Lead Character Artist on Marvel Contest of Champions at Kabam since March 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Character Artist on Marvel Contest of Champions from November 2017 to February 2022.

Before joining Kabam, Jared worked at Goldmark Studios as the Art Director from October 2012 to November 2017. During their time there, they were responsible for concept art creation, character modeling, texturing, and animation rigging, matte painting, effects creation, level design, UI design, gameplay tuning, and more.

Jared also has experience as a Founding Member and Artist at Switchblade Monkeys, where they worked on the indie project "Secret Ponchos" from July 2012 to July 2013.

Prior to that, they worked at Radical Entertainment as the Lead Character Modeller from July 2009 to July 2012. In this role, they were involved in modeling, texturing, and skinning characters for cut scenes and in-game animation. Jared also taught seminars on 3D modeling programs.

Jared's experience also includes working as an Art Director and Lead Artist at Rockstar Games from September 2004 to July 2009, where they managed and directed the art team and created concept art for various projects.

Jared has also worked as the Modeling Director at Boogieman Studio, Lead Character Modeller at Radical Entertainment, and Senior Modeller at Mainframe Entertainment, gaining experience in project management, art direction, modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.

Jared started their career as an Assistant/Runner at SamataMason, where they gained experience in layout design, image manipulation, and file organization.

Overall, Jared Fry has a diverse range of experience in the art and design industry, focusing on character modeling, texturing, animation, and art direction.

Jared Fry pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting with their high school studies at Lord Byng Secondary from 1990 to 1995. After completing their high school education, in 1996, they attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design for a certificate in Drawing Techniques for Animators. In the same year, they also attended the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, where they obtained a certificate in Intro to Computer Animation.
