Mrwan Alayed is a dedicated photonics engineer with extensive experience in optical spectroscopy and imaging systems, optoelectronics, and integrated photonics. Currently serving as an Expert Researcher at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University since 2024, Mrwan previously held roles as a Researcher and Assistant Research Professor at KACST from 2008 to 2025. Mrwan earned a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from King AbdulAziz University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University.
