Robert Walker

Robert Walker began their work experience in 1969 at Fives, formerly known as Landis Lund ltd. Robert completed a technical apprenticeship and specialized in planning and programming for NC and CNC machinery. During their time at Fives, they were responsible for planning and machining components for specialist grinding machinery used in the automotive industry.

In 1978, Walker joined Kadant Inc. as an Engineering Director. In this role, they had overall responsibility for the engineering office and managed day-to-day operations. Robert oversaw project management for plant installations ranging from £20k to £1,500k and was in charge of preparing quotations and managing workflow across multiple offices, including locations in Germany and Finland.

Overall, Walker has extensive experience in engineering, project management, and manufacturing, with a focus on the automotive industry.

Robert Walker attended Leeds Metropolitan University from 1978 to 1982. During this time, they completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Thermodynamics, receiving an HNC (Higher National Certificate) in the field.
