Johan Heinen

Johan Heinen possesses extensive experience in legal advisory roles, primarily focusing on land use, development, and management within various governmental institutions in the Netherlands. Currently serving as a Buitenpromovendus at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen since October 2022, Johan's research investigates the historical, present, and future implications of land consolidation as a land management instrument. As a Senior Jurist at Kadaster since January 2015, responsibilities include providing legal support for spatial programs and projects, authoring commentaries on environmental laws, and serving as a legal advisor for provincial matters. Previous experience spans multiple positions at the Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuurbeheer en Visserij, where roles encompassed legal advisory, quality management, and regional program management. Johan holds an LL.M degree in Dutch law from Open Universiteit and an Ing. degree in Cultuurtechniek from Hogere Bosbouw en Cultuurtechnische School.
