Cem Kalyoncu began their work experience in 1989 as a Service Manager TR at Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) until 1995. Cem then became a Managing Partner at Datapro from 1995 to 2008. In 2006, they joined Kafein Technology Solutions as the Chief Executive Officer. In 2007, they became the Managing Partner at Netsite Iletisim. In 2017, they became the Chairman of the Board at intranet Yazılım A.Ş. In 2018, they also became the Chairman of the Board at Smar. In 2020, they took on the role of Vice Chairman of the Board at both Papilon Savunma and Karmasis A.Ş.

Cem Kalyoncu holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science & Auto Control Systems from Istanbul Technical University, which they obtained from 1982 to 1984. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at the same university from 1978 to 1982. Furthermore, they received their High School education in Mathematics from Kadıköy Anadolu Lisesi from 1970 to 1978.
