Myles O'Neill completed a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) (Honours) at The Australian National University. Myles's field of study was genetics & computer science and they graduated with first class honours in molecular biology. Myles completed majors in genetics and computer science and was the recipient of the ANU Science Scholarship. Myles's computer science courses included mathematics, introduction to programming and algorithms, software construction, relational databases, formal methods in software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and neural networks. Myles's biology courses included chemistry, biology, population ecology, introductory genetics, evolution of biodiversity, genes: replication and expression, genomics and its applications, and advanced genetics and bioinformatics. Myles also completed research courses in animal navigation, gene discovery in the terpene synthase pathway in eucalypts, and epigenetic regulation of development in honey bees.
