Abel Getachew

Abel Getachew is currently a Data Scientist at Kagool, responsible for designing and deploying GenAI solutions, with expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and Azure AI services. Abel has experience in creating end-to-end pipelines that encompass data preprocessing, embeddings, and evaluation frameworks, which contribute to scalable and production-ready AI systems aimed at enhancing information retrieval and decision-making. Prior to Kagool, Abel worked as a Junior Software Developer at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia from October 2023 to September 2025. Abel is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems at Addis Ababa University, a program started in 2020 and ongoing.
