Brian Cullen

Brian Cullen is an experienced engineering manager and software developer with a strong background in microservices development and team collaboration. Currently at Kahoot! since September 2020, Brian has held roles as both Engineering Manager and Senior Backend Developer. Prior to this, Brian served as a Senior Software Engineer at Upside Energy, focusing on collaborative microservices development using Java, Typescript, and Python. At CDL Limited, from April 2016 to November 2019, Brian contributed as a Principal Software Engineer, working on Java components for legacy applications and advancing application design and infrastructure. Earlier positions include Head of Computing at Chetwynde School and a teaching role at Rossett School. Brian holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Bangor University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin.
