Jim Rivera

Jim Rivera, BSME has a strong background in mechanical engineering with experience in various industries. Jim is currently the Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician at Kairos Aerospace, where they evaluate design drawings, prepares layouts and drawings of parts, and reviews instructions and blueprints for projects. Prior to this, they worked as a Hardware Technician at Kairos Aerospace, supporting the mechanical and electrical assembly and maintenance of imaging pods.

Before joining Kairos Aerospace, Jim was a Hardware Support Technician at Google, where they provided mechanical hardware support for Google Earth, performed tests and troubleshooted system-level and component-level problems. Jim also worked at Fresh Express as an Ammonia Refrigeration/Engineering specialist, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment. Prior to that, they were a Manager at Tecno Gas, Inc., focusing on inventory control, sales strategies, and customer service. Jim started their career as an Engineering Intern at Pan Pepin Inc., where they developed tools for inventory management and established supplier partnerships.

Overall, Jim Rivera has a diverse range of experience in mechanical engineering, including design evaluation, assembly and maintenance, hardware support, refrigeration, and inventory management.

Jim Rivera, BSME, has a strong educational background in engineering. Jim attended the Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace. From 2015 to 2021, they studied at the same institution. Prior to that, Jim completed their undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, from 1999 to 2006.

In addition to their degrees, Jim also holds a certification as a Mechanical Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, which they obtained in May 2021.
