Joy Smith

Joy Smith possesses extensive experience in healthcare contracting, serving as the Director of Provider Contracting at Kaiser Permanente from August 2014 to June 2021, where responsibilities included public speaking and health policy advocacy. Prior to this role, Joy held the position of Contract Manager, negotiating national transplant agreements and overseeing quality control and competitive strategies. From October 1994 to July 2014, Joy worked at Anthem as the Regional Manager of Provider Contracting, focusing on negotiating PPO and HMO agreements across various regions. Joy holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Capella University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science Administration from California State University, Northridge.
