Patrick MacDowell

Patrick Macdowell has a diverse work experience in the field of software development, specifically in Android and Java development. Patrick started their career at Misc Contract as an Android Developer, where they supervised and educated team members on best practices and built products matching design specifications. Patrick then worked at HOTB Software as an Android/Java Developer, where they designed and built multiple Android apps from scratch, as well as consulted with clients on project architecture, security, and deployment. In 2019, Patrick joined Kajabi as the Lead Android Developer and tech lead for the mobile team, with a focus on improving the Kajabi mobile app. Additionally, in early 2019, Patrick started their own company called PGMacDesign, initially focused on software development contract work but evolved into education and coaching in programming. Patrick created a course called "The Programming Profit Formula" to guide beginners into becoming employed developers in a short timeframe.

Patrick Macdowell attended UC San Diego from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Later, in 2013 and 2014, they attended Strayer University, where they earned a Certificate in Programming. Patrick'sfield of study during this period consisted of programming languages such as Java, C++, Android, and SQL.
