Sewon Ko

Sewon Ko is a highly skilled software engineer currently working at Kakao Corp within the Connectivity Platform Team since July 2021, where a large-scale integrated messaging platform was developed and operated, alongside leading the design of a carrier-grade IP/PBX system. Previously, Sewon served as a Back End Engineer at Riiid, contributing to a Microservices Architecture for an AI-powered learning platform and developing a high-performance content authoring API. Before that, Sewon was a Software Engineer at YBRAIN, focusing on backend server engineering for a settlement and contract platform. Sewon's early career included a role as a Graduate Researcher at Kyung Hee University in the Mobile Convergence Lab, where a custom Network Management System was designed and research on mobile communication protocols was conducted. Sewon holds both a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University.
