KALAM is one of the most specialized and recognized companies for our work in historic preservation and building rehabilitation.
Since its inception in 1987, it has maintained a commitment to quality as a differential value, creating a growing workforce of professionals that covers all trades and areas required.
The experience acquired through its departments of Historic Conservation, Facade Restoration, and Building Rehabilitation, supports its international expansion with projects that include interventions in more than 40 World Heritage Sites. Spain's rich and diverse cultural heritage, which Kalam has helped preserve through its work, serve as a solid reference valued globally in countries like France, Portugal, Chile, the United States, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Angola, and Morocco, where we have registered or sales offices.
Among its clients, both private and public institutions, are big preservation associations and insurance companies who value reliability, adherence to deadlines and risk prevention on job sites. With its Risk Prevention and Project Support departments, the company provides technical assistance and consultancy to both clients and preservation professionals. It is worth noting, its workshop, where ornamental elements are fabricated and reproduced, and the ability to set up on-site workshops to support jobs that are either very large or require a high degree of specialization.
Kalam's field of work is universal, and by approaching each project in a unique manner with a permanent and specialized workforce, it has achieved the necessary credentials to be competitive in countries that are at the forefront of heritage preservation.
Among our distinctions, we can highlight the recognition in 2016 with a Special Mention in the category of Dedicated Service to Heritage, or the 2018 Conservation Award for the restoration of the Façade of the College of San Ildefonso, in Alcalá de Henares; both at The European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards.
