Ryan Conat

Manager of Agency Relations at Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC

Ryan Conat has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 with an internship at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), where they gained hands-on wildlife management experience. Ryan then worked as an Intramural Senior Supervisor at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, supervising various sports activities. Ryan also worked as a Lawn Care Associate at TruGreen, conducting turf assessments and treating lawns.

In 2015, Ryan took on the role of a Hunter Survey Technician at the Nebraska Co-Op Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, where they surveyed hunters and performed counts on public access locations. Ryan then became a Wildlife Technician at the Wisconsin DNR, leading habitat development projects and providing support in various department duties.

From 2016 to 2018, Ryan worked at the Illinois Natural History Survey, first as a Research Assistant in the Human Dimensions Research Lab, conducting applied research. Ryan then became the R3 Coordinator for the Hunter and Trapper Recruitment Program, developing curriculum, networking with stakeholders, and conducting workshops.

In 2018, Ryan joined The National Wild Turkey Federation as the R3 Coordinator, collaborating with partnership organizations to assess gaps in hunting and shooting sports programs and implementing initiatives in Arizona.

Since 2020, Ryan has been working at Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC as a Client Success Manager, providing support to state agency customers and managing customer relationships. Ryan is currently serving as the Manager of Agency Relations, overseeing customer relations and delivering value through Kalkomey’s automated license and data management solutions.

Ryan Conat has a strong educational background in the fields of recreation, sports, and wildlife ecology. Ryan obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Recreation, Sports, and Tourism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Wildlife Ecology - Research and Management, with a minor in Biology, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Conat also holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in October 2021.
