Kamal’s Kitchen was created in loving memory of my Mum, whose cooking inspired my passion for food and community. Through our street food pop-up events, we honour her legacy by bringing people together with flavours made with love, authenticity, and care. Whether at markets, private hires, or community gatherings, every dish carries a story — a celebration of Mum’s spirit and the joy of sharing good food.

A big part of being a Sikh Indian person is giving and feeding. Making food for the ones she loved was something my mum always did as a hobby but also wanting to do and it as a sideline. It was all in the pipeline until she got unwell and could no longer fulfil this little empire of hers. Hence the name Kamal’s Kitchen. I decided to take the plunge and alongside the chaotic life of teaching, being a business owner @thetuitionmill and being a mum, I thought why not. It was my first night at @bosunsbrewery in my local area of Wetherby in 2024 which was quite overwhelming and the feedback was so genuine and I really loved it and this is where it began.
