Manish Kumar is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in research data management and bioinformatics. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Kanopi since September 2025, Manish previously worked at Iress from September 2021 to September 2025 as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, Manish was an Associate Research Software Specialist at Monash University, contributing to the development and maintenance of the open-source research data management application MyTardis. Earlier roles include positions at UNSW as a Research Data Management Officer and Translational Bioinformatics Officer, and as a Domain Analyst at OpenSpecimen, where Manish developed various data integration and analysis tools. Manish holds an M.Sc in Bioinformatics from the Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune, and a B.Sc in Life Sciences from the Centre For Biotechnology, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences.
