Tom Carney

Tom Carney has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tom is currently working as a BDR - Global Accounts at Kantata since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Copywriter / Content Manager at a Tech Startup from January 2021 to October 2022, where they created content for company blog and marketing material and managed CMS. Tom also worked as an Acting and Presentation Coach at Ernest Performance Coaching from April 2013 to October 2022. Additionally, Tom has experience as a Host at Sydney Harbour Tall Ships from January 2015 to March 2022 and as a Professional Actor at Meissner Management from November 2013 to September 2020. Tom also has experience in management, having worked as a Manager at Upstart Creative Living from July 2018 to July 2019, where they project managed the building of a high-density living facility and collaborated with senior management to create an administrative system. Tom has also worked as a Senior Facilitator at Brisbane Youth Theatre from February 2012 to March 2013 and as a Business Development Manager at Deepend from May 2009 to March 2011, where they developed and implemented sales and marketing strategies. Prior to that, they worked as a Construction Foreman at Hutcon from February 2008 to April 2009. Tom started their career as a Sales Manager at LYCEUM PUBLISHING LIMITED from August 2006 to December 2007, where they managed a sales team and increased company revenue.

Tom Carney's education history includes multiple educational experiences. In 2011 to 2013, they attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Acting. Following that, in 2021, they completed the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials course. Earlier, from 2000 to 2002, Tom attended Macquarie University, where they earned a Bachelor of Media degree with a focus on Journalism and Multimedia. In addition, in 2005, they participated in a Sales Course at DCGardener, specializing in Advanced Selling Skills and Negotiation. Lastly, in 2004, Tom pursued training in Art Direction and Copywriting at AWARD School.
