KAP Minerals is developing a near-term critical minerals project in Kapuskasing, Ontario by redeveloping the historic phosphate mine into a multi-product processing hub to serve defense, aerospace, battery manufacturing, and agricultural markets. KAP Minerals will produce a low-cadmium phosphate concentrate, phosphoric acid, and strategic minerals including scandium, titanium, and other rare earth elements essential to modern manufacturing and national security. 

By leveraging existing infrastructure and existing mined material, KAP aims to rejuvenate the local economy by accelerating production, creating long-term skilled jobs for Indigenous and local workers, and attracting additional regional investment. KAP’s work ahead will position Kapuskasing as a leader in the North American critical minerals supply chain.
