Kar Consulting is the premier authority on operational leadership and service excellence in Hong Kong’s retail and F&B sectors. Founded by industry veteran Paul Ma, we bridge the gap between decades of operational expertise and the evolving demands of modern management.

With a career spanning the leadership teams of Fairwood Holdings and Café de Coral, Paul Ma has been at the center of the systems and training cultures that define the Hong Kong service experience. Today, Kar Consulting continues this legacy by helping SMEs transform their operational culture, professionalize their management teams, and scale with rigor.

Our authority is built on two primary pillars:

First, in Retail Excellence: Paul Ma serves as the long-standing Organizing Committee Chairman of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association’s (HKRMA) Service Talent Award, where he continues to set the industry benchmark for frontline service and human capital development.

Second, in Industry Stewardship: Paul acts as a designated Retail Industry Specialist for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), ensuring that all our frameworks meet the highest standards of professional development, skill validation, and vocational excellence.

At Kar Consulting, we don’t just provide advice—we provide the institutional-grade expertise that helps HK businesses professionalize their people, systems, and performance.
