Established over 60 years ago, the parent company started its operations in Shinyanga in the name of M/S M. B. Kara Limited. After the economic liberalization of the 90's and with experience serving various mines across the country, the family decided to float a new company, Kara Traders Limited, to facilitate national and cross-border expansion and coverage. 

Due to the expertise, experience, and vision of our Directors, Hitachi Power Tools selected us as the sole representative for their brand in Tanzania; and in the year 2007 another company was floated M/S Kara Power Tools Limited, dedicated to Hitachi Power Tools. 

Kara Traders and Kara Power Tools are both family-owned and managed Limited companies.
