Fred Christians

Fred Christians is a seasoned molecular biologist with extensive experience in the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as a molecular biologist at Karius, Inc. since October 2014, Fred has held various significant roles, including Sr. Staff Scientist and Team Lead at a private biotechnology company from February 2012 to October 2014, and Senior Manager of Enzymology at Pacific Biosciences from July 2006 to September 2011, where contributions included developing pioneering protein engineering programs for DNA sequencing technologies. Additionally, Fred’s background encompasses positions as Staff Scientist at Applied Biosystems, where novel polymerases were created for next-generation sequencing, and at Affymetrix, focusing on microarray products.
