Paul Babb

Paul Babb is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in genetics, genomics, and computational biology. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Karius since August 2021, Babb previously held positions including Senior Scientist at Takara Bio USA, Inc., focusing on single cell RNA-sequencing chemistry, and Senior Research Investigator at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where contributions included genome and transcriptome construction and human population genetics research. Babb also completed extensive research during postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as earlier roles at Harvard Medical School and the National Institutes of Health. Babb holds a Ph.D. in Physical and Biological Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania.
