Per Westerberg

Per Westerberg has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Currently, they are working at Karo Pharma as a Senior Director of Digital Operations Strategy and Compliance. In this role, they have developed a common Cyber Security and IT QA GxP framework and served as a Lead Auditor for key IT suppliers. Per has also acted as the IT QMS lead during authority inspections and audits.

Prior to their current role, Per Westerberg was the Director and Owner of Digital Pharma QS AB, where they supported businesses in digitalization and quality systems excellence. Per completed various assignments such as Interim IT QA Director, IT Project Manager for ERP projects, and Quality Lead for an ERP project.

Before that, they worked at PlantVision AB as a Senior Business Consultant and at Xellia Pharmaceuticals as the Director, Head of Corporate Quality Systems and Projects. In this role, they defined the quality strategy, managed the Quality Manual, and led a department responsible for corporate business process owners and data analysts.

Earlier in their career, Per Westerberg held various positions at AstraZeneca, including Global Quality Lead Director, Senior Quality Assurance Executive, Director of Information Technology, Global Purchasing Manager for Automation & Industrial IT, and Team Manager for Industrial IT.

Per began their career as a Systems Engineer at Sandvik and later worked at ÅF as a Systems Engineer in the Industrial IT field.

Per Westerberg earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer and Electronics program from the University of Gävle from 1990 to 1992. Per then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science and Engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Per Westerberg obtained various certifications such as the Microsoft Security Immersion Completion Badge, ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, NI Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD), PMP® - Project Management Professional, and Silfs Inköpslicens.
