Tim Silva

Tim Silva has over 10 years of work experience. Tim started their career in 2001 as an IT Consultant at Fujitsu Australia Limited. In 2009, they began working as a Community Worker at Jubilee Community Care Inc, and also took on a role as a Nutritionist at Nutrition Australia. In 2010, they became a Clinical Dietitian at Townsville Hospital and Health Service, and then in 2011 they became a Paediatric Dietitian at Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service. In 2014, they took a break from professional work and pursued Travel and Study. In 2016, they returned to the workforce as a Web Developer at General Assembly. Here, they created a photo sharing website using Ruby on Rails, worked in a team to plan and develop a website for craft brewery tours, and developed a nutrition data visualization site using D3.js. In 2017, they began working as a Software Engineer at Lendi, and currently holds the same position at Kasada since 2021.

Tim Silva has a diverse educational background. Tim began their studies in 1999 at the Canberra Institute of Technology, where they earned a Diploma in Information Technology - Software Development. Tim then attended Spherion Training Institue, where they earned a Diploma in Systems Technology - Networking. In 2004, Tim Silva earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Tim then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Dietetics/Dietitian from The University of Queensland in 2011. Recently, Tim Silva has taken courses at General Assembly.
