Gert H. has over 20 years of professional experience in the IT industry. Gert began their career in 1997 as a Network Administrator at Deltalink Consulting. In 2000, Gert H. moved to Systeque as a Senior Network Engineer, where they were responsible for meeting customer requirements, managing business relationships, first line support, network infrastructure design and implementation, and disaster recovery services. In 2003, Gert H. founded Blue Tin Solutions, focusing on bringing open source solutions to the marketplace and providing hosting solutions, application development, and managed security services. In 2008, Gert H. joined Trustwave as the Compliance Validation Manager EMEA, managing a team of 8 people in assisting clients in the EMEA region with consultancy around the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). In 2009, Gert H. became a Security Consultant QSA at 7Safe. Finally, in 2014, Gert H. became the Chief Security Officer at Kashing Limited.

Gert H. has an extensive education history, beginning with their matriculation from Linden High School in 1991-1995. Gert then obtained certifications in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from 1997-2001, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) in 2000-2001, Microsoft Certified Systems Developer (MCSD) in 2003, RedHat Certified Systems Engineer (RHCE) in 2003, and ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2009. Most recently, they obtained a Qualified Security Accessor (QSA) certification in 2008-2019.
