Karen Rossouw

CEO at Kashing

Karen Rossouw is currently the CEO at Kashing, but they have plenty of experience in the financial industry. Karen spent two years as the Head of Governance at WesBank, where they were responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Basel II activities. Karen also presented at the Marcus Evens Conference and communicated with the Registrar of Banks (SARB). In their time at WesBank, Rossouw successfully promoted Basel II through their innovative ideas and competitions.

Rossouw left WesBank in 2007 to join Sapient Global Markets as a Manager/Business Consultant in their Risk Practice. There, they were responsible for designing, managing and implementing relevant regulatory risk and control assessment frameworks for CASS (Client Money), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know your Customer), MiFID, and EMIR. Rossouw also created a business case and approach to implement a target operating model for the middle office function, which encompassed governance, people, processes and systems. In their four years at Sapient Global Markets, Rossouw made significant contributions that helped the company run more smoothly and efficiently.

Karen Rossouw has a Diploma in Advance Banking from the University of Johannesburg, a Master in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, and a Certificate - Senior Management Development from Henley Corporate Business School. Karen also has a BComm Hons from the North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit and a B.Comm from the same school.
